Slow Breath: A 6-Week Journey to Self-Awareness, Compassion, and Inner Regulation - 6 Sundays Feb 2/9/16 & March 2/9/16 2025, 6:00-8:00pm GMT (London time)
Do you feel the need to slow down, listen to your body, and connect with your breath in a transformative way?
Slow Breath is a 6-week online breathwork & somatic program designed to help you deepen your relationship with yourself, through intentional and gentle practices using the breath and the body as key practices.
In a world that moves extremely fast, we often overlook the potency and power of slowness—the place where healing, awareness, and true transformation reside. This program invites you to step out of autopilot and into a space of curiosity, compassion, and self-regulation, using the breath and the body as your guides. Trauma happens in fast, often overwhelming ways. Healing happens in slowness and in co-regulation.
Together, we will slow down, creating space to observe and process with curiosity rather than judgement. You’ll learn to work at your own pace, honouring your unique process and building agency in your healing journey.
What You’ll Experience:
Over the course of six weeks, you’ll learn how to engage with your breath and body consciously and intentionally, developing self-awareness, compassion, and emotional resilience.
Each week, you’ll be guided through a range of practices that help you notice and undo unconscious patterns and habits that may be holding you back. Additional support for practice and engagement will be offered via a private Facebook Group.
Elements we will explore:
Felt Sense & Inner Dialogue - The felt sense is the subtle, internal awareness of your body’s sensations, emotions, and experiences in the present moment. Developing a felt sense vocabulary means learning to identify and describe these sensations with more precision.
The language of your body - learn through somatic vocabulary and body-mind dialogues, we’ll explore how the body tells the story.
The breath and our relationship to it - is it conscious/unconscious, do we work and play with it or largely ignore it? How we can work with to improve mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.
The stories of the body and what they can teach us.
Orienting, Grounding, and Noticing in Slowness - Orienting and grounding are key practices in somatic awareness that help anchor you to the present moment. Orienting involves gently bringing your attention to your surroundings, using your senses to take in what is around you. Grounding invites you to connect with the earth or the surface beneath you, whether through the feet or other points of contact, providing a sense of stability and support.
Elements of embodied authentic relating and conscious communication and how these practices support us to come into the integrated adult self.
All of these practices, combined with noticing what is present right now—whether physical sensations or emotions—allow you to be fully in your body, aware of the present, and less overwhelmed by external or internal stress. Developing our capacity to regulate stress helps us build resilience and flexibility. We get to move from reaction to response.
