Shadow & Bone: Breathwork and Shadow Work with Steph Magenta & Pat Divilly

  • Manchester Yoga Central M17 1AB United Kingdom (map)

Pat Divilly (Galway, Ireland) & Steph Magenta (Manchester, UK) are delighted to announce a brand-new collaboration diving into the world of breath work and shadow work.

“What you’re aware of you’re in control of, what you’re not aware of is in control of you” ~ Anthony Demello

People are often afraid of 'shadow work'. It can feel confronting and scary to meet parts of ourselves that we may have consciously and subconsciously invested in keeping hidden, but what if it's possible to open to those parts a more gentle, playful and exploratory way? It is!

For this day event, we will be working with both the breath and a range of embodiment and connection practices, alongside a gentle approach to working with our 'shadow' aspects - typically the things we avoid, push away or hide from. We often do this because these aspects represent the remnants of past unresolved stories that continue to play out in our lives. Avoiding them doesn't work! Both Steph & Pat understand the liberation that exists on the other side of these stories when we find the courage to open ourselves up a little...to soften the heart. We will change the way we can relate to those parts of ourselves through our group connection and commitment during the event.

You can expect:

  • Fun & laughter

  • Plenty of breathwork

  • Perhaps a few tears

  • Connection and communication practices

  • Movement & shaking practices

  • Shamanic approaches to our work

  • An exploration of shadow values and shadow contracts

  • A grounded and well held space in which to explore our inner worlds

  • and more!
